1:1 iPad program: At Chesterbrook Academy Elementary School, technology is a big part of how our students learn. From kindergarten through 5th grade, each of our students has their own iPad, which empowers them to explore new ideas and take on projects with ease. 

Curriculum integration: Apple Distinguished Schools use Apple apps and other digital tools to make learning fun, interactive, and safe. This helps students learn in new and exciting ways.

Apple technology in our school includes AR Makr, AR Technology, GarageBand, SoundCloud, iMovie, GreenScreen, Makey Makey, Logitech Crayons, iPads, and Mac Minis.

Through the use of Apple technology, we help our students explore new possibilities, solve problems, and make a difference in the world. Here’s just a few examples of how our students use Apple products:

  • Kindergarten Podcast: Our students make podcasts using GarageBand. They share stories, songs, and highlights from their classroom. This project helps to build their confidence and communication skills.
  • 1st Grade Presidential Speeches: Our students in 1st grade use iMovie and green screens to record speeches from leaders. This helps students learn video production. In addition, they get the chance to practice their public speaking skills.
  • 2nd Grade Coding with Memoji: Our students in 2nd grade have a blast as they learn coding skills using Memoji.
  • 3rd Grade Ocean Issues with AR Makr: Our students in 3rd grade use the augmented reality app, AR Makr. This app helps students learn about things that cause harm to oceans.
  • 4th Grade App Showcase: Our students in 4th grade have fun with Keynote to design and test their own apps. By the end, they have a better understanding of the steps they need to take in order to make a digital product.
  • 5th Grade Product Innovation and Pitch: Our students in 5th grade use their iPads to invent and pitch new products. They grow their business skills at a young age!
