Dear Parents,
WELCOME BACK TO SCHOOL! We hope you had a wonderful holiday season! On behalf of the entire Chesterbrook Academy staff, Ms. Pezzullo and I would like to extend a special thank you to our families for your heartfelt holiday wishes and lovely gifts! Your thoughtfulness and generosity are much appreciated.
Our school-wide “Winter Wonderland” theme came to life in each classroom. Dramatic play centers and activities captured the spirit of the season. We are grateful for creative teachers, supportive parents and eager students, ready to learn about the world around them.
January always reminds us of when we celebrated the grand opening of our school. This January marks our 7th year of serving children and families in the Port St. Lucie area. We treasure the many relationships we have formed over the years and want to thank you once again for choosing Chesterbrook Academy for your child’s early education. Thanks to you, the majority of our new families have come to us after hearing from you about your experience at our school. YOU ROCK!
This January marks another special milestone for Chesterbrook Academy to celebrate. We begin 2017 as an accredited school! Thank you again for your support and trust. We are committed to continually grow to meet the needs of the families we serve.
Now that the holidays are behind us, teachers will place strict focus on preparing their students for what lies ahead. Utilizing student observation records and assessments as a guide, teachers will hone in on each of their student’s individual needs and provide varied learning experiences, which will strengthen and challenge cognitive, social and emotional growth. Our goal is to ensure each child is confident in his or her ability and prepared with the necessary tools for a successful start in the next level of education.
Our Pajama drive was a success! We collected over 200 pajamas. These pajamas will be given to Christ Fellowship in Tradition and be sent to needy children in Belle Glade, Honduras, and Columbia! Thank you for the gift of sweet dreams! Your generosity has kept the spirit of giving alive at Chesterbrook Academy.
Thanksgiving Canned Food Drive Follow-up. We set a record and made the local paper.

We look forward to many more years of learning fun at Chesterbrook Academy!
Happy New Year!

A Powerful Connection to a Lifetime of Learning
Your children experience the perfect balance of learning and play in a safe, nurturing environment. Our Links to Learning (LTL) curriculum prepares them for kindergarten by introducing concepts in reading, math, art, music and much more. You will receive progress updates, as well as ideas to continue learning at home.
You can expect to receive daily communication and pictures via email through our Links 2 Home program. And, we also encourage you to take a few moments each week to review your child’s classroom Links to Learning “Parent Board,” so you can “Link” to your child’s early education experiences. Posted are “Weekly Skills,” “Lesson Plan,” “Daily Schedule,” “Monthly Spanish” and “Learning Outcomes.”
PARENT REQUIREMENT:
Signing your child in and out daily is not only a licensing and company policy but, an added security measure, which ensures all children are accounted for while in our care. PLEASE, BE DILIGENT ABOUT RECORDING YOUR CHILD’S ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURE TIMES. Thank you!
SICK POLICY:
The purpose of our sick policy is to reduce the spread of illness among our students and to encourage full recuperation of sick children before they return to school. We depend on parents to assist us in maintaining a safe and healthy environment for all of our children.
Children may be sent home if they have any concerning symptoms. Also, a child must be free of all of these symptoms for at least 24 hours before he/she can return to school. These symptoms include:
- A Fever of 100 degrees or more
- Vomiting within the previous 24-hour period
- Diarrhea within the previous 24-hour period
- Symptoms of a communicable disease
- Fussy, cranky behavior and not himself/ herself
Following an illness, a child may return to school once he/she has either been seen by a doctor or it has been determined that illness is not contagious. (A doctor’s clearance may be requested.) Please help us keep all of our children healthy by following these rules. If you have any questions or concerns, please let us know. Thank you for your support!
TUITION:
Tuition is due the 1st business day of every month. Accounts not paid in full by 12:00 pm the fifth business day of every month will automatically receive a late fee of $25. If tuition is not paid in full by the 7th business day of each month your child may not attend until the balance is paid in full. Failure to comply with tuition policies will result in a notice of dis-enrollment. If you’d like to sign up for our ACH program, which automatically pulls your monthly tuition from the account of your choice the 1st business day of every month, just let us know, and we will help you enrolled.
ENRICHMENT PROGRAMS FEES:
If your child is signed up to attend a specific enrichment program, the monthly fee must be paid in full the first week of every month or your child may not attend the second week. Please understand, we are obligated to pay our physical fitness vendors in a timely manner for their services. Credits will not be issued for missed classes due to absence or non-payment.
CATERED LUNCH PROGRAM

WE NEED YOUR CONTINUED SUPPORT AND PATIENCE!
PARKING – As many of you have experienced, finding a parking space between 8:45am & 9:15am and 11:45am & 12:15pm is quite challenging. We are asking families to please be considerate during drop-off and pick-up times by not parking in an area that is not a designated parking space. There is a field on the north side of the building that we have permission to use for parking. You are welcome to park there during drop-off and pick-up times. PLEASE DO NOT PARK IN FRONT OF THE DUMPSTER.
The Port St. Lucie Police Department will periodically patrol our parking lot during peak hours and issue citations for any vehicles that are parked illegally.
If you have any concerns, please report them to the administration.
Thank you!
