Happy Back to School!
We here at Estelle Drive Chesterbrook Academy had a terrific summer. Our Summer Camp Program had over 20 children enrolled; their weeks packed full of activities. Our preschoolers enjoyed many days of summer themed activities indoors and outdoors too. We are looking forward to the cooler days ahead this fall, especially to play on our newly built playground. We are happy to say goodbye to the scorching heat.
Many new and exciting things are happening this school year, starting with many new faces of children and staff. We hope to see many of our families join us for Back to School Night on Wednesday, September 7th from 6 to 7 pm. This is a great opportunity to talk leisurely with your child’s new teacher if they are promoting or staying in the same class, chat with other parents, meet our new staff and ask me any questions about the upcoming school year. On September 15th, we welcome Miss Lauren back from her Maternity Leave. Please check out our Parent Information Board for September menu, Activity Calendar and other information. This information can also be found our school website, Estelle.chesterbrookacademy.com.
Parents should look for sign-up sheets for Fusion Gymnastics, Lil Sports and Soccer Shots programs to begin soon. The sheets will be placed by the Parent Mailbox Folders. Any questions can be directed to the office.
Please remember to take home all items from your child’s cubby at the end of the day and sign your child in and out in the green binder on the parent counter. As a courtesy, it is very helpful to let the office know if your child will be absent on a scheduled day; as well as schedule changes. If you need to make a schedule change to your child’s schedule it is very helpful to ask for this change at least a week in advance to assure availability.
Our teachers have asked for all families to bring in an extra change of clothing for your child, this includes, underwear, socks, shirts and bottoms. For those children who are potty training, make sure enough underwear and bottoms are given.
We are looking forward to a great school year ahead. Any questions or concerns arise, please direct them to the office or email me at wendy.musser@nlcinc.com.
Thank you for allowing us to care, nurture and love your children each and every day.
Warmest Regards,
Wendy Musser, Principal

Your child grabs a toy from a playmate, tears erupt, and you immediately tell him to say, “I’m sorry.” Does this sound familiar? Although apologizing might seem to diffuse the situation, these words alone don’t fix hurt feelings, nor do they help your child understand how or why he caused[.....]
