July News & Happenings!
Welcome to July!
The merger has been a success and we all felt a bit of growing pains, but needless to say the children are all becoming acclimated in their new classrooms and enjoying the friends that they are making. A big shout out goes to all the staff for the extra hard work they did in the month of June to merge the two schools together and organize their classrooms. I love the new improved look of the rooms and the new addition of furniture and learning materials. We all are very thankful that we acquired so many new supplies and items.
With the merger, in addition to the new families we welcomed, we welcomed several new teachers. Miss Rebecca Krickzy joined our Infant Room, Miss Stayce and Miss Stephanie joined our Beginner Room, Miss Jeana has joined our Intermediate Room #5, Miss Jen joined our Summer Camp program and Miss Ashley Wiglusz joined our Pre-K Room #7. In addition to the teachers, we also had Miss Kathy join us for Kitchen Support and Break Coverage, and Miss Melanie and Miss Katie join us for Office Support. Please continue to introduce yourself to these staff members and help us become acclimated with our school.
While the summer programs are in full swing, we are now looking at Fall Classroom Plans. We will be doing a move up and transitions in the month of August. At this time if you think your child’s schedule will change, additional days, reduction of days or switching days please let an office manager know so we can plan accurately for your child’s attendance.
My office is almost done. Thank you for your patience with the extra “stuff” in the lobby of Building A. Hopefully, during the 2nd week of July I will be back in my office, until then I am still located in the Conference Room of Building A.
In the upcoming weeks, we have many more summer camp activities and visitors planned. The children really enjoyed their show with Wendy Woo Woo (a replacement Willy Woo Woo sent for himself). They say hearing children’s laughter is the best medicine. The laughs they all had on this day were AMAZING and very contagious! I have heard very positive feedback regarding the addition of field trips for our older campers and it seems many of them are going home exhausted at the end of the day from all the fun activities they are participating in.
Your feedback as a parent is very important to us. As a school we value each positive reflection you share as well as your concerns so we can better ourselves. Over the next few weeks we will be participating in a companywide initiative to collect positive reflections of our students and parents. You are being asked to complete 5 stars to share your positive difference Chesterbrook Academy has made in your family’s life. You can place your submission in the container located in each of the building lobby’s.
If you have not already done so please let us know your vacation plans for the month of August and September so we can ensure that your billing is completed correctly and you receive the correct credit that is owed to you.
Reminders:
Please put sunscreen on your child in the morning. Our staff will reapply throughout the day.
Please remember to check your child’s mailbox in the hallway outside of their classrooms daily.

The Fourth of July and election season are upon us, and political communications are becoming more and more present in our lives. Your child probably has begun to notice campaign stickers, television commercials, and news coverage about the election. He might already be asking questions such as, “Who is the[.....]
