From the Office of the Principal
Summer is in full swing here at Chesterbrook Academy! June was such a busy month, but we are looking forward to a very busy July as well. June 13 marked the first week of summer camp for everyone. The preschoolers have enjoyed weekly Water Play days, a visit from Rocket Ryan to do science experiments, Bricks 4 Kidz, Music for Little Ones classes, and got to make a patriotic t-shirt for Independence Day. The school-agers have enjoyed field trips to the Stallings Park spray grounds, Stonecrest Cinema to see The Lego Movie, the South County Regional Library, the William R. Davie Regional Park, Anne Springs Greenway, and Sky High Sports! We hope all of our Dads had a wonderful, fun, and relaxing Father’s Day this past month. We also held a Donuts for Dads event on Monday, June 20 for all of our Dads! We hope our Dads enjoyed the donuts and their Father’s Day! We also enjoyed our Summer season of Soccer Shots on Wednesday mornings.
July is shaping up to be a busy month as well. First off, we will be closed on Monday, July 4 in observance of Independence Day. We hope everyone has a fun and safe holiday. We will have plenty of activities for the children during the month of July! The preschoolers will enjoy water play days, Music for Little Ones, SuperHero Day, Favorite Storybook character Day, ice cream days, Jumpbunch sports classes, Tie Dye day, Fish the Magish magic show, and more Hightouch Hightech science experiments! The school-agers will get to go on field trips to the Extreme Ice, Home Depot, Stallings Park Splash Pad, Petsmart, and Sports Connection Bowling! We are excited to officially announce that our PreK graduation will be held here on Friday, July 22 at 7 pm! Graduate families, please stay tuned for more details coming soon! Finally, Links to Learning folders go home on Friday, July 29. Please let us know if you have any questions or concerns about any of these events or field trips.
As always, we will always be here to help you in any way possible if you have any questions or concerns.
Kindest Regards,

Chesterbrook Academy Parent Referral Program
If there’s one thing parents love to do, it’s talk about their children’s successes. When friends ask you about your child’s experiences at Chesterbrook Academy, what type of success stories do you share? Do you mention the personal and educational discoveries your child is making thanks to our advanced curriculum? Do you talk about the new levels of self and social confidence your child has gained thanks to our encouraging atmosphere? Whatever glowing reports you deliver about how your child is growing with his or her education, we couldn’t be more appreciative. In fact, we’d like to show you just how thankful we are for your endorsements. Now when you tell other parents about our school, you can become a Chesterbrook Academy Ambassador.
For every new child you refer who enrolls at our school for three months, you’ll receive one FREE week of tuition for your child.
It’s our way of saying thanks for doing what comes naturally – singing the praises of your child and sharing your experiences with the Chesterbrook Academy difference. If you have any questions about how you can become a Chesterbrook Academy Ambassador, please contact an administrator.

Summer is a time to relax, go on vacation and spend time outdoors. However, it also provides great opportunities for shared reading experiences with your child. As you begin planning picnics, beach trips and barbecues, don’t forget to bring a book along!
Nursery rhymes, for instance, are a great choice for summer reading. They have stood the test of time for their ability to naturally teach children language, rhyme and rhythm. They develop imagination and critical thinking skills, while also instilling important morals and lessons.
Below are some nursery rhymes and other fun books to read with your child this summer.
