We have a busy month ahead of us and it will be important to monitor our many forms of communication to ensure you don’t miss any of the fun and learning experiences we have planned. Thank you for all who came out to support the Super Bowl and donated items for the parties! The students have been excited to share in Charlotte’s Panther Fever!
The Little Caesar Pizza and Cookie Dough Sale has ended and the kits will be delivered on February 19th after 2 p.m. If you have sold kits you will need to come to the school to pick up your items. We do not have refrigerator or freezer space to store the items over night.
February 12th our Cupid Class Parties will be hosted from 3 p.m. – 3:30 p.m. The student will share in special snacks as well as distribute their valentine day cards. We do not release children’s names and ask that you write your child’s name on the outside of the envelope. They can place one card in each friend’s bag. Remember we are a nut free school and ask no products containing nuts be shared in the school. This includes M&M products, candy bars, granola bars, and peanut butter found in Reese products.
We will host an Art By Me event on February 12th immediately following the Cupid Party. We be providing you and your child paper, art materials and a place to create a one of a kind piece of artwork. This item can be reproduced into items such as magnets, tshirts, reusable grocery bags, mouse pads and other decorative items. The orders will be returned in time for Mother’s Day!
February is dental Health Month. This month we will invite a local dental office and staff into the school. They will share good dental hygiene tips and give the students free toothbrushes. This date will posted in the front office and on the classroom lesson plans.
We survived our first weather event for 2016. The forms of communication were successful in getting the message out to all of you. We will continue to keep you of informed weather threats. Remember we do not follow any CMS closings or delays.
This month will be our second parent report for our students. They will be released on Feb. 28th. Parent conferences may be scheduled at anytime, but please speak to your child’s teacher or administration about a specific day/time you need.
