The 2015 summer season is in full swing, and we are all having so much fun! From Mini Sports to field trips, creating crafts to cooking snacks, and everything in between – our campers are definitely enjoying all of the thrills that Summer Camp has to offer. Our staff has been hard at work to make this summer special and memorable for your child, and we hope that you are seeing the impact already.
For Infants through Intermediates, don’t forget to keep an eye on the Parent Board for a look at what learning activities and special events your child’s teachers have planned each week. For Junior & Senior Camp, refer to your camp calendar to see what’s on the agenda and where they’re headed each day.
Click here to download a printable copy of this month’s Lunch & Events Calendars. Hard copies are also available at the front desk. Don’t forget that up-to-date information is also available via our school website at any time. Please check the whiteboard in the front lobby for a heads up when a spirit day is approaching.
Here’s a quick look at the many things to come in July:
– SCHOOL CLOSED – Friday, July 3rd – Please note that Chesterbrook Academy will be closed on Friday, July 3rd in observance of Independence Day. The school will reopen for regular hours on Monday, July 6th. Enjoy your long weekend!
– CELEBRATING AMERICA DAY – Thursday, July 2nd – Chesterbrook Academy may be closed for Fourth of July, but that doesn’t mean we won’t enjoy a day of celebration here at camp! Show off your USA spirit by wearing red, white, and blue from head to toe. Don’t forget to show off your stars and stripes, too!
– PUPPETS PIZZAZZ – Friday, July 10th – Our friends from Puppets Pizzazz will drop by at 10:00am for a very special hour of entertainment! Toddlers through Senior Camp will enjoy sing-a-longs, slap stick humor, and dancing with over 22 hand puppets that will keep the fun going all morning long.
– MINI OLYMPIC GAMES – Friday, July 24th – We are all sports all-stars in the making! The children will head out to Washington Square Park to explore Wellness with a few special sporting games. Each mini Olympian will go home with a special medal to celebrate their accomplishments!
– MUSIC MONKEY JUNGLE – Tuesday, July 28th – Our friends from Music Monkey Jungle will come on over at 10:00am to get our toes tapping, hands clapping, feet moving, and bodies grooving! Toddlers through Senior Camp will enjoy an interactive children’s music concert designed to both entertain and educate.
– ROCKSTAR DAY – Thursday, July 30th – In honor of Chesterbrook’s Got Talent week, we will ALL be superstars for the day! Dress up as a rockstar singer, a Hollywood actor, or a Broadway star. Maybe you dream of being on the big screen, or maybe you will someday be the lead singer of a rock band. Show off your star power!
As always, please reach out with any questions, comments, suggestions, or concerns. Thank you for your ongoing support of Chesterbrook Academy of Philadelphia!
Kind Regards,
Chloe Glenn
Principal
