As we end the 2014-2015 Preschool and transition into summer camp we wanted to provide information about all the fun activities and events we have prepared!
Summer Camp 2015 is right around the corner! We are looking forward to a truly super summer! The monthly calendars will be posted in the hallway with additional information regarding Splash Days for each Preschool class and Pool Days for School Age Camp.
UPDATED RECORDS:
Updated shot records and physicals are needed. Please remember that with any check-up we do require updated shot records and physical forms. Infants and Toddlers need updated shot records every six month. We have these forms at the front desk.
ANNUAL TUITION RATE INCREASE:
Annual Tuition Rate increases on June 28, 2015. Please see the fee schedule in your child’s cubby for the new rates.
CHOKING HAZARDS:
As parents, we must understand choking hazards for children. We strive to prevent choking at the school by following recommended standards for food and toy regulations. However, we need your help. Please do not allow your child to bring in small items from home such as coins or tokens. We appreciate your attention in this matter.

Our PreK2 Graduation Ceremony was heart warming and a reminder on what we strive to do here…..create life long learners, excited for school and new experiences! SUMMER CLASSROOMS: AM GROUPING
Starting the week of June 22nd we will be OPENING the Beginner Classroom at 6:30 am for the 2 and 3 year olds. We will have the PRE-K2 Classroom OPENING at 6:30 am for PRE-K and Jr. & Sr. Campers. Infant and Toddler Classrooms will stay the same.
WEATHER ALERT
We understand that we have been having severe heat and air quality. Hopefully, this will not continue through the summer. Please check our Air Quality Guide to see the status of the children’s outside time. In addition, if we are ever under a heat advisory, we will not be going outside. We will always use our best judgment with the children’s outdoor play. Let us know if you have any questions.

CLOSED TOED SHOES
Please note the importance of sending your child to school in closed-toed shoes. There is a high risk of injury to a child’s toe when toes are exposed. Thank you in advance for your attentionto this matter.
ANCILLARY PROGRAMS
The last billing for ancillary programs will be done the week of June 15th. Please prepare for an ACH withdrawal or a printed invoice that week!
PRESCHOOL SUNSCREEN APPLICATION
Sunscreen MUST be applied EVERY morning by the parent before a child comes to school. Sunscreen will be reapplied by the teachers at appropriate intervals. Please fill out a sunscreen form provided at the front desk.
SUMMER CAMP 2015 Activity Fees:
Preschool- $110
School Age-$230
Summer Camp activity fees will be billed out on June 22nd and payment is due then. Activity fees are used for all the extra events and shows for the summer.
Every child will receive a CBA Camper T-Shirt once the activity fee is paid. The JR. & SR. Campers will need a Camp Tee Shirt if they are to participate in the field trip. We have extra shirts for field trips for sale at $15/shirt. We have limited extra Camp Tee Shirts at the school.
Join us for “Passport to Adventure” with learning activities every week! Each week we will jump into adventure, experiments, shows and activities. Our qualified and knowledgeable staff will guide your camper on a fantastic summer-long journey. Camp is a very busy and exciting time, and to be successful, parents must be aware of all the daily activities. We have a fun summer planned, and calendars will be posted on our website, lobby and printed copies at the front desk. All children will receive their camp shirts on June 22nd , after activity fees are billed out.
In the hallway, we have a Summer Camp board: one for the preschool/on campus summer camp program and one for the school-age summer camp program. Please make sure to check the boards so that your camper(s) can be prepared to enjoy the week.
Splash Days: Beginning week of June 29th
Tuesday: Beginners
Wednesday: Intermediates
Thursday: Pre-K1
Children MUST come to school in their bathing suit and ready for Splash Day. Please provide a towel and a change of clothes.
Rising K – SCHOOL AGE:
On field trip days, the buses will depart from campus at 9:30am and will return to campus at 3:30pm. If we need to leave early for a trip, we will communicate to you in advance. On field trip days, PLEASE have your child at the school NO LATER THAN 9:00 am for attendance and time to prepare for the trip.
Children MUST wear a Chesterbrook Academy Camp t-shirt and bring a PACKED lunch with no glass or nuts to participate in every field trip! Always bring a water bottle!!!
During the summer, your camper will be sharing a cubby with a friend to accommodate both junior and senior campers. Please provide extra weather appropriate clothing and extra (close toe) shoes. You MUST label your child’s belonging so that they don’t get mixed up with his/her cubby buddy.
In addition, we ask that you apply sunscreen on your camper BEFORE they come to camp. Please note the importance of the morning application of sunscreen. On field trip days the school will be providing and reapplying throughout the day using Banana Boat Kids Protect & Play SPF UVA 110.
Pool Days: Beginning the week of June 29th
Bathing suit, sunscreen, towel, and water shoes.
