Dear CBA Families,
Happy New Year! We hope that each and every one of you and your families had a happy and healthy holiday. We appreciate all of the beautiful cards, kind words, donations, and gifts that our staff received during the holiday season. We are so thankful to have you as a part of our CBA family!
The New Year is sure to be busy and we cannot wait to see the exciting lessons that our teachers are planning. While we explore diversity and inclusion all year, this month our teachers have many lessons planned to celebrate Martin Luther King, Jr. They will be reading books, making arts and crafts, discussing the importance of acceptance and belonging, and much more. As a reminder, we will also be closed on Monday, January 15th for Martin Luther King, Jr. Day.
It may be only January, but it’s time to start planning for the fall! There has been an overwhelming demand for our January Open House, so we want to make sure you secure your child’s spot for next school year. Priority re-enrollment will run from Feb 5 – March 1. More information will be sent via Links 2 Home.
The winter season is here. Please be sure to dress your child accordingly, including hats and mittens. Also, be sure that your child has extra clothes available in their cubby for the winter weather. We do continue to go outside daily, weather permitting, and want to make sure they can enjoy their outside time.
As a friendly reminder, to support our efforts in maintaining a healthy environment daily, we ask that you refrain from sending your child to school if they aren’t feeling well or if they have any symptoms such as fever, cough, headache, chills, sore throat, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, congestion or runny nose until you consult your child’s pediatrician. If you bring your child to the doctor and they are diagnosed with anything (ex. Flu, strep throat, etc.) please call us and let us know so that we can make other parents in your child’s class aware. Your name will be kept confidential. If your child is sent home with any symptoms, they must remain symptom free without medication for 24 hours before they can return. We appreciate your support and partnership on this!
Thank you for being the wonderful families that you are and for your continued support. We’ve made a lot of wonderful memories in 2023 and we look forward to all that 2024 holds for us!
Sincerely,
Kristie Salmon
