Dear CBA Families,
Our annual holiday giving initiative is a way for students to spread cheer this holiday season while developing an appreciation for what they have, showing gratitude towards others, and seeing the positive impact of their actions. With that being said, we want to personally thank each of you that took the time to donate to our annual food drive. Thanks to your generous donations, we were able to supply Angels and Sparrows Community Table and Resource Center with 368 food items to feed the community this holiday season.
This month we are giving back to the community by supplying local foster children with gifts this Christmas. We are extremely grateful that, with your support, we are able to provide seven children with all of the items on their wish list this year through the Hope for the Holidays program that is orchestrated by the Children’s Home Society of NC. Words cannot express how thankful we are for your support!
As the winter season approaches, we are filled with excitement for the festivities ahead. We believe in creating a nurturing environment that celebrates the rich traditions that make each family unique. This month, our students will delve into different holiday traditions from all corners of the globe through hands-on activities, music, art, and more. Be sure to keep an eye on your Links 2 Home app for pictures and more information on daily activities throughout the month.
Winter weather is already upon us and we’d like to remind all of our families to dress their children in weather appropriate clothing and to make sure their cubbies have been refreshed as well. We will be taking students out daily, so please be sure they have a coat, hat, and gloves for the colder days. These can be left in their cubby if you wish.
Our classrooms will be having their holiday parties on Friday, December 15th. We will be having a holiday spirit week December 18th-21st. We will be closed for the Christmas holiday on December 22nd and December 25th. We will be closing at 12 p.m. on December 29th and we will be closed for New Year’s Day on January 1st. Please see the monthly calendar on our website for more information on events happening in December.
Wishing you and our family a safe, happy, and healthy holiday season!
Sincerely,
Kristie Salmon
