Dear Families,
Summer is here and we are teaching, learning, and growing together! Our students are jumping into action, playing games, exploring nature, being creative, and participating in other fun summer-themed activities. Our students have enjoyed visits from Kona Ice, the Kool Kat ice cream truck, Chocolate Bar in a Car, Tumble Bus, and Patch’s Playhouse Pottery. We look forward to many more exciting in house field trips and activities this summer!
This month we will be celebrating Independence Day. Our students have been learning all about Independence Day and symbols of America. On Friday, July 1st we will wear red, white, and blue in honor of Independence Day!
Each summer, we participate in a service initiative to give back to communities in need. We are excited to announce that, with the help of our CBA families, we will be raising money to donate to Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation throughout the month of July! Our donations will go toward paying for research to find better treatments and cures for childhood cancer. You can donate throughout the month through our personalized link (https://www.alexslemonade.org/mypage/2905819). On Wednesday, July 27th, with the help of our students, we will be hosting an in person lemonade stand to raise additional funds for donation.
As a reminder, we will continue to have “water play Wednesdays” each week throughout the summer. Please refer to the July camp calendar for daily activities throughout the month. Thank you for your continued dedication and support!
Sincerely,
Mrs. Kristie Salmon
