Dear Families,
Happy April! Now that spring has arrived, we’re looking forward to spending even more time exploring the outdoors. Taking advantage of the beautiful weather helps children learn and grow as they discover new things in their environment. Our teachers are planning outdoor games, lessons, and picnics to celebrate spring. We can’t wait to share these activities with your child.
This past week we celebrated Week of the Young Child with tons of fun and interactive activities including making musical instruments, building together, creating artwork, and participating in cooking activities. It was so great to see everyone dress up each day for our spirit week!
On April 22nd we will be celebrating Earth Day with a ladybug release. We invite everyone to dress up like a ladybug and/or wear red and black that day. The ladybug release will take place during your child’s morning outside time.
As a reminder, the weather is changing and now is a great time to check your child’s cubby to make sure they have weather appropriate changes of clothes. We suggest having at least two sets of spare clothes at school.
Our enrolled parent survey closes April 15th. This survey provides the opportunity for you to give us feedback anonymously on our strengths and areas we can work on. Please let us know if you haven’t received it.
We look forward to another month of learning and growing with your children!
Sincerely,
Mrs. Kristie Salmon
