Happy March!
Will it come in like a lion or a lamb? I guess we will see if Mr. Groundhog is correct.
What an exciting month we have planned! We will start off this month with a grand celebration of Dr. Seuss. Each classroom will be creating a special door decoration related to one of Dr. Seuss’s books. During the week of 2/28-3/4, there will be daily celebrations for the children to enjoy such as Crazy Socks Day, Wacky Wednesday, Inside Out and Backwards Day, Crazy Hat Day, and Wear Something Red Day. It should be an extra special and fun week. Parents, please feel free to join in on the fun and show us your Dr. Seuss spirit!
The middle of the month will be our Saint Patrick’s Day celebrations. Just so you know, this day is not just about wearing green. There is a lot of problem solving going on as the children try to figure out the best way to catch a leprechaun! It has been told that every year a few leprechauns find their way to 1000 Manor Drive and create a little mischief in each of the rooms. We have seen silly string, glitter, green colored milk, toys scattered about, and even green water in the toilet bowls. Now how those little elves can create so much havoc in one night is a mystery, but the children will be busy devising traps and a way to stop all of the mischief. We will have to wait and see if any of their ideas work. I sure hope so!
The children will also be creating special art projects for their Art to Remember design. Once they are completed, you will have the opportunity to decide if you would like to have their creation put onto a mug or a tile or made into a keychain, etc. The projects make great gifts for Mother’s Day and Father’s Day for you or the grandparents.
We would also like to remind you to update your children’s extra clothes to go along with the changing weather as Spring approaches.
Speaking of reminders-don’t forget to change your clocks on Sunday, March 13th. We spring forward and lose an hour of sleep, but it will be worth it to have more sunshine later in the day.
We hope that those of you who signed up for Amazing Athletes are hearing great things from your children each week as they participate. Please let us know your thoughts. Thank you!
Our Licensing Inspection is coming up, so please make sure that we have your child’s most recent health assessment and immunization record. Have you returned all paperwork that may have been sent home to you to be signed and updated? Thank you for your prompt attention to these matters and helping us maintain our good rating.
Please take care and enjoy this special month of learning and fun.
