Dear CBA Families,
We hope that everyone is having a great start to the New Year! This month our students will be learning all about love, families, and friendships as we celebrate Valentine’s Day. February is also Black History Month. It is a time to honor the culture, accomplishments, and important contributions of African Americans. We’ll be celebrating in the classroom by reading books, making arts and crafts, and continuing our discussion on acceptance and belonging.
On February 14th our students will celebrate Valentine’s Day with their classmates during afternoon snack time. Your child’s teacher will send home more information about their celebration. Our school will be closed on February 21st for Professional Development Day.
This month is an exciting one as we begin to re-register all of our current families for the upcoming school year. Registration forms have already gone home by mail; however, you can also pick up a copy at the school. We hope that each one of your families plan to re-enroll and if you do so by February 18th, you will receive 75% off of the registration fee. Our management team is available to address any questions or concerns you have.
With winter weather finally arriving, we’d like to remind you to please send your child with a jacket, hat, and gloves daily. You can even leave a spare set at school. We do continue to go outside daily, weather permitting, and want to make sure they can enjoy their outside time. Please also check that they have a few weather appropriate changes of clothes in their cubby at all times.
As a friendly reminder, to support our efforts in maintaining a daily healthy environment we ask that you refrain from sending your child to school if they aren’t feeling well or if they have any symptoms such as fever, cough, headache, chills, sore throat, nausea, vomiting, diahhrea, congestion, or runny nose until you consult your child’s pediatrician. If you or anyone in your immediate family (household) has any of these symptoms, is being tested for COVID, or has been around any reported exposures to COVID, please consult us via telephone or email before bringing your child to school. If you bring your child to the doctor and they are diagnosed with anything (ex. Flu, strep throat, etc.) please call us and let us know so that we can make other parents in your child’s class aware. Your name will be kept confidential. We appreciate your support and partnership on this!
Thank you for your continued support and dedication to our school. We are so lucky to serve such amazing families each day!
Sincerely,
Kristie Salmon
