Wow 2022 is ALMOST over. We are already saying goodbye to October. We hope your children enjoyed their fall lessons, pumpkin themed activities and classroom celebrations. Seeing our students enjoy their Halloween costumes and fall attire is one of the highlights of the year for us. Thank you for allowing us to be part of these special occasions! This month we are focusing on gratitude and connecting with others. We have many special activities planned for our students and are looking forward to sharing photos with you all on Links 2 Home. As always, please let us know if you have any questions or concerns.
Holiday Giving
Each year, Chesterbrook Academy chooses a charity to support during the Winter Holiday Season. We have been successful running coat drives, canned food drives, book donations, etc. with the help of our students advertising these events with their creative flyers throughout the school.
This year we are eager to support Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, CHOP is changing the way they accept toys and gifts for the children and families spending the holidays in the hospital.
We want to help make the holidays special for these children through a tax-deductible donation in support of the Child Life, Education and Creative Arts Therapy team at CHOP. This special team provides care and support year-round to children and families in the hospital. With thousands of children visiting CHOP every year, the Child Life team has an ongoing need for toys, craft supplies, books, video games and movies. In the absence of an in-person toy drive this year, the Child Life Department depends on monetary donations to provide holiday gifts to the many children spending the season in the hospital.
Help us raise money for this important cause by donating $10, $15 or $20 and help make the holidays a little brighter for a child using the link —>. CHOP Donate Here
