A Note from Our Principal
Summer is coming to an end and another school year is upon us. We’d like to extend a warm welcome to our new families joining us, and a sincere thank you to families moving on. We enjoyed making memories with your children over the summer and are looking forward to spending another year together with you and your children!
We recognize that this is a busy time for many families and are using this month’s school newsletter to include reminders on school closures, communication, security and more. Please read through this newsletter carefully and let us know if you have any questions or concerns.
As always, our administrative team is here to answer any questions you may have.
Warm regards,
Lisa Delaney

Health & Safety Protocols:
Our priority, as always, is to focus on the health and safety of our students, staff, and families.
On August 31st, the Pennsylvania Office of Child Development and Early Learning issued a statement that, effective September 7th, all K-12 schools, and certified childcare facilities and preschools, must comply with the Secretary of Health’s mandate stating that all students, ages 2 and above, must wear a mask in a school setting.
As always, our teachers and staff will work with the children to help with mask wearing and will make the implementation of this requirement supportive and caring for them.
Our current policy for mask wearing at Chesterbrook Academy is as follows:
- All staff, parents, and other visitors will continue to wear masks while indoors, regardless of vaccination status.
- Children age 2 and older are required to wear masks while indoors.
Staff and children will continue to be health-screened daily upon entry.
- Anyone with a temperature of 100.4 degrees or higher, or showing other signs of illness, is not permitted to enter the facility.
- If a child becomes ill during the day, they will stay in a separate area while awaiting pickup.
Staff will wear disposable gloves for serving food, changing diapers/toileting, etc.
Staff will continue to focus on handwashing and disinfecting throughout the day, including repeated disinfecting/cleaning of “high-touch” surfaces (e.g. desks, doors, public spaces, and bathroom fixtures)
We cannot thank you enough for ALL you support through the past year! Together we have created a safe and healthy environment for our Chesterbrook Academy community!
