A Note From Our Principal
Fall is in full swing and our students are enjoying the extra outdoor time, nature walks and seasonal curriculum activities. We are planning a few fun fall themed activities for our students this month and are excited to share photos with you all through Links 2 Home. As always, please reach out if you have any questions or concerns.
Sincerely,
Kirstin Thorpe
Fall Cubby Refresh
It’s finally starting to get cooler and we are planning extra outdoor time to take full advantage of the fall season. Please make sure your child has a weather appropriate change of clothes in their cubby and outerwear when applicable.
New Spirit Wear Coming Soon
Later this month we will be emailing you all with information on how to order our awesome new Virginia themed school spirit wear. Our families and staff have supported each other and stuck together during this crazy time and we can’t wait to share our school pride with our community. Keep an eye on your inbox for more details!
Halloween Parties
Our classrooms will be celebrating Halloween by doing crafts and participating in a candy hunt with their classmates on October 30th. We know that families and staff typically look forward to class parties because they allow us to be together as a school community and give parents an opportunity to get to know their child’s classmates and parents. We are still not allowed to invite parents into our classrooms for celebrations and will be sharing extra photos with you all on Links 2 Home. Thank you for your positivity and flexibility! We will be sending out more details later this month.

Illness Policy Reminder
Our parents are vital partners in helping us to maintain a safe and healthy environment for the students in our school. The most important thing you can do to assist us in creating a healthy environment is to keep your child home if they are ill. This reduces the spread of illness and allows your child to fully recuperate. Children may not attend school until they have been symptom free for 24 hours if they display any of the following:
- Fever of 100.4 degrees of more—must be fever free for 24 hours with no fever-reducing medicine before returning to school
- Vomiting, diarrhea or stomach upset
- Heavy nasal discharge requiring wiping every 3-5 minutes
- Persistent, non-productive or barking cough
- Sore throat
- Skin rash, including diaper rash
- Head lice
- Symptoms of a communicable disease
- Fussy, cranky behavior unlike child’s normal demeanor that may indicate illness

We love our parents!
Do you know any parents who have recently moved to the area or are unhappy with their current preschool? We value our current parents and would love more families like yours at our school! Refer a new family to our school and your family could receive a free week of tuition. For more information, see our administration team.
