A Note From Our Principal Lisa Fawver,
Now more than ever, we are in awe of the flexibility and resilience of our teachers, students and families. We have enjoyed seeing you all online the past few weeks and are hopeful that we can be together again in person soon. In the meantime, we have planned a few fun activities for us to do “together” this month. We hope you can join in! As always, I am here for you as we move through these unprecedented events together. We are a school family, and families are important now more than ever.
Yours Truly,
Lisa Fawver
Summer Camp
As of now, it looks like many of our planned field trips will either need to be cancelled, modified, or pushed to the end of summer. Vendors are doing a great job working with us, especially since we don’t know yet what June’s state mandates will look like. We have in-house activities planned as well, and when we host a show or event, we will either hold the event outside, have more shows with fewer children spaced out, or modify the activity in some other way. We will make sure summer is still fun and exciting for everyone! Stay tuned with more info as it’s available.
Mother’s Day Virtual Picnic
We can’t be together to celebrate Mother’s Day this year and want to acknowledge all of the amazing things our moms, grandmothers, aunts and mother figures are doing during this challenging time. On Friday, May 8th we will host special zoom calls, in addition to your child’s daily circle time calls. Our Mother’s Day Virtual Picnic will be held during lunch time. If it’s nice out, spread a blanket in your back yard and” join us” for lunch. If the weather doesn’t cooperate, have an indoor picnic on the floor of your family room! We hope you all will pop into your child’s virtual class to share a Mother’s Day moment with your fellow moms. Bring your favorite sandwich and beverage! The invitation will go out on Monday with the zoom link.
School-wide Pajama Party
Wear your best jammies and join us on Friday, May 22nd at 7:30 p.m. for a pajama party and bedtime story! Our Principal will read a special story for everyone to enjoy. An invitation with the link to join will be sent out later this month, but save the date! We hope you can join us!
