Dear Parents,
We hope that you had a wonderful Thanksgiving with loved ones! We enjoyed celebrating with you all last month. Thank you for your generous donations towards our food drive! The donations were picked up by the Miami Rescue Mission. We supplied lots of food and sponsored many food boxes for families in need. They were very grateful for your support.
December will bring more reasons to teach our students about giving. Our Giving Tree is displayed in our lobby. This year our Giving Tree will be supporting the SOS Children’s Village. The SOS Children’s Village is a worldwide organization that cares for orphaned, abandoned, and vulnerable children through out the world. They have a local village right her in Coconut Creek. The 12 houses in the village, run by trained and loving caregivers, provide a safe and secure home for up to 75 children and youth. The village creates a nurturing and vibrant environment with an array of services to help children overcome their past trauma and build successful futures. This year we will be providing the village with shoes, pajamas, and blankets for all the children. Please grab a tag (or two) off the tree and donate to this local organization. Please do not wrap your gift and just tape the tag to it. Together we can help each child in the SOS Children’s Village have a festive and warm holiday.
Please take the time to review the upcoming events and reminders below. As always, we are grateful for our Chesterbrook Academy family. We wish your family a very Happy Holiday!
