Dear Parents:
October turned out to be a busy month. We learned about Changes in the season and what happens to the world around us in fall. We celebrated Fire Safety week and had an informative visit by the Lower Providence Fire Company. We read about fall and farming and explored a pumpkin patch from Toddlers through Intermediates. Our Pre-K classes went on a field trip to Merrymead Farm. They enjoyed the hayride, picked a pumpkin from the pumpkin patch and listened to the story of Johnny Appleseed. Looking forward to the Halloween Parade! Everyone is welcomed…parents and grandparents to come out to cheer us on!
Now for November:
We have a lot of fall activities planned this month. Kindly note, we will be closed for Staff In-service Day on Tuesday, November 5th and for Thanksgiving Holiday on Thursday, November 28st. We will be inviting Mystery Readers this month. Look out for the sign up sheet. Also, our annual Thanksgiving Feast will be celebrated on the Tuesday, November 26th, followed by Pajama Day on Wednesday. The fall progress reports are scheduled to go out at the end of this month. Please let your teachers know, if you have any questions or concerns.
As a final note, please be sure that you adhere to the hours of drop off and pick up time written on your agreement. We staff accordingly and it helps us maintain the student/teacher ratio.
Looking forward to month full of fun!
Thank you,
Rukina Contractor
