A Note From Our Principal
Thank you all for helping our school celebrate Earth Day and Child Appreciation Week. Celebrating Earth Day as a community provides our teachers with many opportunities to relate science, math and literacy concepts to everyday life. As we move into May, we are getting our classrooms ready for a summer of additional enrichment for our preschool students and summer camp for our school-age students. We can’t wait to spend summer with you and your children and hope you’ll join us at the family activities we have planned this month!
We are starting the month off with Parent Appreciation week. So far we have celebrated by having a gift card drawing every hour on Monday and Trivia Day on Tuesday. We will complete the week with a special gift to you from your child, a continental breakfast and curbside pick up of your child on Friday. We hope these special days show you how much we appreciate you not just this week, but the whole year through.
The week of May 6th-May 10th we are asking you assist us in showing appreciation to the staff during Staff Appreciation Week. Please visit your Tadpoles e-mail for a list of their special days, also included in this newsletter below. One of the “special” requests from Staff was that they could be “relaxed” for a week and wear jeans and no logo wear. This was easy enough for us to grant. The staff will be waking up each morning and dressing as they desire.
We are in the end stages of planning and confirming our summer camp calendars. We hope to have them out to you mid-May. Thank you for your patience with this. The Summer Camp shirt samples have arrived. If you would like to double check the size you ordered for your child please stop by Building A to check them out.
During the week of May 13th – 17th I will be on vacation. The following week May 20th – 24th, Miss Katie will be on vacation. During these weeks Donna Miller, our Executive Director, will be assisting throughout the school periodically. We will also have Miss Kathleen, assisting us from our North Wales School periodically, starting this week.
Don’t forget to mark your calendars: Friday May 10th we are hosting a Pizza Luncheon for the Mom’s! Come join your child for lunch during their classroom lunch period.
Sincerely,
Donna Baus, M.Ed

We love our teachers! Check out these great activities we planned to celebrate them the week of May 6th!
May 6th – The PTO will be providing a lunch for the staff on this day.
May 7th – Teacher Trivia Tuesday – We will be creating a Trivia Game for the Teachers, just like we did for Parent Appreciation. May 8th – Let your teacher know how much you appreciate them. Bring in a thank you card, drawing or letter that you wrote to share with them that they are the very best!
May 9th – Staff Luncheon. Please sign up at the front Desk of Building A or B to bring in something for the Staff Covered Dish Luncheon.
May 10th – Gift Card Giveaway. Each year parents donate gift cards to be divided among the teachers. Typically, Wawa and Dunkin Donut Cards are a HUGE HIT!
