Dear Families,
Happy Spring! The weather is finally starting to get warmer and our students have been really enjoying their time outside. This month the students will be learning all about Spring and Earth Day through various activities that the teachers have planned for them. It’s sure to be a busy month!
The week of April 8th we will be celebrating the Week of the Young Child. There will be a separate message sent out letting you know what we will be going on each day. On the 17th and 18th we will be having our Spring pictures taken by Lifetouch. Friday, April 19th will be our Spring parties and egg hunts. Your child’s teacher will send home additional information regarding this. As a reminder, if your child will be out at all for Easter and/or Spring Break, please put your vacation time in the Links to Home app.
Our Earth Day celebration will be April 23rd. On that day we invite our families to join us in beautifying our garden area and playgrounds by planting vegetables, flowers, and herbs in our raised garden beds, planters, and flower pots. Additional information regarding specific times will be sent out in the next week.
We are currently gearing up for another summer of fun and learning. For our preschool students the summer camp curriculum is an extension of Links to Learning. We bring in special visitors and add special enhancements and activities to each classroom. If you plan to be out for the summer, please let a member of the administration team know. If your child is graduating, please let us know when their last day with us will be.
As a reminder, please be sure that your child has extra clothes in their cubby and that you are checking daily sheets for important information and reminders. We look forward to another amazing month here at Chesterbrook Academy!
Sincerely,
Mrs. Jac-Lynn Johnson
