Chesterbrook Academy January Newsletter

From the Office of the Principal

Happy 2019! What a year 2018 was! The year has flown by, and we had a busy December to cap it all off. We want to thank everyone who donated to our Make-A-Wish event–our families raised over $1,300 to grant the wish of a child during the holidays! Our entire Chesterbrook Academy district raised over $8,000. We are so proud of the Chesterbrook Academy community of families that made this possible! We also held our Lil’ Shopper’s Shoppe fundraiser that allowed the children to shop for gifts for their friends and family members. It was a big hit again this year! We had our Holiday Break on Tuesday, December 25, and we hope everyone had a wonderful holiday with their families!

January is always a busy time of year, as we are all getting back into the swing of things after the holidays. Chesterbrook Academy is closed on Tuesday, January 1 for New Year’s Day. The new Soccer Shots winter season will be starting soon on Wednesday, January 16, so if you are interested in signing up your child, there are enrollment forms in the lobby. We will have a Soccer Shots Demo Day for every child on Wednesday January 9. Other enrichment programs offered included Daisy Dance for 2.5 year olds and up on Monday mornings, Music for Little Ones for 16 month olds and up on Monday afternoons at 3:30p, and Shining Stars Drama Theatre program on Tuesday mornings. Finally, our Go for Fit Kids Program is on Thursday mornings as well for 2.5 year olds and up. Our Yankee Candle fundraising event will take place this month as well, with lots of high quality candles and other gift items for sale, and will go from Monday, January 21 to Monday, February 4. On Saturday, January 26, Chesterbrook Academy will be holding an Open House from 10 am to 1 pm for all prospective parents. Please keep in mind that through our Parent Referral Program, you can receive one FREE week of tuition if you refer someone to Chesterbrook Academy on Providence Road West, so please let any friends looking for a quality preschool program to stop by on Saturday, January 26. Finally, Links to Learning folders go home on Thursday, January 31.

As always, we will always be here to help you in any way possible if you have any questions or concerns.

Parent Referral Program

If there’s one thing parents love to do, it’s talk about their children’s successes. When friends ask you about your child’s experiences at Chesterbrook Academy, what type of success stories do you share? Do you mention the personal and educational discoveries your child is making thanks to our advanced curriculum? Do you talk about the new levels of self and social confidence your child has gained thanks to our encouraging atmosphere? Whatever glowing reports you deliver about how your child is growing with his or her education, we couldn’t be more appreciative. In fact, we’d like to show you just how thankful we are for your endorsements. Now when you tell other parents about our school, you can become a Chesterbrook Academy Ambassador.

For every new child you refer who enrolls at our school for three months, you’ll receive an Ambassador Certificate for one FREE week of tuition for your child. It’s our way of saying thanks for doing what comes naturally – singing the praises of your child and sharing your experiences with the Chesterbrook Academy difference. At the front desk are referral certificates you can give to friends and colleagues who ask about our school. If you have any questions about how you can become a Chesterbrook Academy Ambassador, please contact an administrator.
