Dear Families,
Happy December to you! We hope that everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving with their loved ones. We were so thankful that so many of you came and joined us for our annual Thanksgiving Feast. We appreciate you all so much!
This month is sure to be a busy one as we are now officially in the holiday season. Our students will be busy learning all about how different cultures and families celebrate holidays around the world. We look forward to seeing all of you at the Jingle Bell Jam on Friday, December 14th. We will be collecting $2 donations/per ticket for Make A Wish once again this year. We will also have spirit week the 17th-21st, concluding with our classroom holiday parties on the 21st in the afternoon. Please check the calendar on the website for more information.
With the winter weather upon us it is important to remember that we do not always follow the closure schedule of the local public schools because we don’t have to contend with the same transportation issues as public schools. Our goal is to be open as many days as possible to support our working parents. If we must close because our teachers cannot safely get to work, you will receive a notification via Links 2 Home as soon as the closure is announced. We also post notifications on our website and Facebook page.
We also want to remind you that we will still be taking our students outdoor to engage in gross motor activities when the weather is cold, so please be sure that your child comes to school dressed appropriately and brings a hat, gloves, jacket etc. Also, if you haven’t already, please check your child’s cubby box to make sure their extra clothes are appropriate for the winter.
Please see the calendar for more information about all events that will be happening this month. We wish you all a safe, happy, and healthy holiday season and we are so grateful that we have you all in our lives!
With Friendly Greetings,
