Welcome to the month of July!
We sure are having a blast here at summer camp. The Lincoln Financial Field has been the biggest talked about field trip so far this year. I am not sure who was more excited the parents who chaperoned or the children who participated on the field trip. As a parent – if you would like to participate in a field trip, please remember you need the required background checks to participate with your child. If you would like more information please feel free to send me an e-mail or inquire at the front desk.
As summer camp is in full swing, it is now the time of year we traditionally start focusing on our Fall. As managers we try to always be a few months ahead. We will be doing a transition in the month of August (last two weeks) for children who will be moving to their new rooms. We will disseminate paperwork in your child’s mailbox in the month of August.
We are awaiting our NAEYC visit. At this time we have submitted all of the required paperwork and will be receiving notification when an assessor will be coming to visit our school.
Don’t forget we are closed on Wednesday July 4, 2018. We will be open our normal schedule on Tuesday July 3rd and Thursday July 5th.
Please don’t forget to let us know via e-mail, a phone call to the school or via the Links to Home App. We like to have a general idea of who is coming to school each day so we can adjust swimming, start our special activities and jump in the pool.
We have received approval for our sign in/out system to be updated and for extra security cameras to be installed on our campus inside and out. We are planning on having the work take place after hours and on the weekend, but please be aware we might need to have workers here for follow up or install during the school day. With the new sign in process – we will have a key pad outside of lobby door to release the main entry doors, and then you will need to sign your child in via the Links to Home app with a iPad in the lobby. We will be providing you with more detailed directions as we secure the install date and times that the work process will begin. Thank you in advance as we go through this transition, to increase the safety and security of the children in our building.
Have a great 4th of July!
Sincerely,
Donna Baus, Principal
