Happy May Chesterbrook Academy families! Spring is in full bloom and our students are blossoming. The April showers have brought us May flowers as well as tons of science and math experiences. Students are learning all about the different parts of a flower. Seeds planted in April are now sprouting in to various flowers, fruits, vegetables and herbs. Our student gardeners are learning about all the things plants need to survive. Younger students are classifying flowers by types and sorting by color. We are even using our sense of smell to experience the different smells of different types of flowers and plants.
May is also a month where we express our appreciation throughout the school. We have several fun activities planned for parents and teachers as we celebrate Parent Appreciation Week May 7th and Teacher Appreciation Week May 21st. Be sure to check your calendars for special activities planned each day of the week.
As Mother’s Day quickly approaches we are in the process of planning our annual Mother’s Day Celebration. On Friday, May 11th, join us for treats and surprises. All moms, grandmothers, aunts, and special friends are invited. Our fun starts at 3:30 pm.
