March has come in like a Lion and we are hoping it will leave like a Lamb! We can’t wait to take the learning outdoors and enjoy warmer weather. March is Literacy Month and Nutrition health month. The teachers enjoy sharing their favorite books, nursery rhymes, and authors with the children, teachers are planning many healthy activity as well. A big thanks to Ms. Joetta Khan (Mina mom in room 4) for sharing all the healthy activities with us. March is a wonderful month full of lots of expectations. The children look forward to all the fun learning in each classroom.
March is National Reading Month, so it is a great time to reinforce how important it is to expose children to books from an early age. We engage all of our students in language and literacy activities every day throughout the school year.
Research has shown that reading aloud to children has a profound influence on their speech development and listening skills. Reading allows children to experience the wondrous world depicted in books, and thrive on the interaction with adults. We’re excited to invite our families to be guest readers and join the children’s circle time. On March 15th parents, grandparents, Aunts and Uncles are welcome to come in and read a story during circle time to the class to help us promote the importance of literacy and how fun and exciting it can be. Please see the office to sign in or with any questions.
