January is here. I can’t even describe it as cold and blustery, but for lack of better words I think the perfect analogy is frigid cold. We hope everyone had a wonderful holiday season! We have heard so much positive feedback regarding the holiday show and I think we found the permanent home for it going forward. While Mother Nature tried playing a bit of havoc with us that day, we pushed through, took the thought process of “the show must go on” and had a wonderful time. Mr. and Mrs. Claus did an excellent job in joining us!
In the upcoming week we have some pretty fun “stuff” occurring. The Perkiomen Water Shed will be here to visit with our Building B students for a show, on January 20th we will be having an Open House for any new perspective families, and we will be hosting a blood drive with Miller Keystone Blood Bank on January 10th from 3pm-6:30pm. If you have not done so, please sign up soon!
As you enter our parking lot we ask that you please remain safety consensus. Lately, we have noticed an influx of parents on their cell phones in the morning and evenings when driving. I believe we are all guilty of being distracted from time to time in our driving with our cellular devices. While we all know it is a danger on the street, please remember it is a danger in our parking lot as well. While parents try to always guide their children by hand to school, we have seen on certain occasions children darting in the parking lot. It is important that you are extra cautious, aware and monitor the speed limit in our school parking lot.
It’s that time again for our Parent Surveys. Please watch your inbox for the survey to be arriving soon. Please take 5-10 minutes to complete the survey. As the principal of the school I appreciate your feedback as to how we can grow, better meet your needs and look at the school with a fresh perspective and set of eyes. Management members above me, utilize this survey data to get a perspective on the building needs, education al needs and monitor how we are doing as a school within the company. Your answers and feedback are truly valuable and greatly appreciated.
In addition to STARS we are going to be pursuing another accreditation, NAEYC. This accreditation is being rolled out thorough out of company. However, at this time our school will be starting the process as a pilot for the rest of the company. Here is a website you can visit to learn more about NAEYC.
