Message from the Principal
November is a time change. The weather grows cooler, color erupts, and we change the clocks back an hour to Standard Time. We look ahead to the coming Holidays and look within ourselves with gratitude. I would like to take a moment to express a few things that I am thankful for. I am thankful for our families and children. I am truly thankful for the opportunity to watch your children grow and share in the joy they bring to our lives and school!
We ended October with a wonderful turn out for our Second Annual Halloween Parade! Thank you for coming out and making the event fun and memorable for all of us!
Please check the monitor in the front lobby for all events, special days, and reminders. We also send out Chesterbrook Academy Weekly Times on Thursdays with important reminders and news for the upcoming week!

TURN THE CLOCKS BACK – Standard Time Begins Sunday, November 5th
This weekend you have the gift of time….Daylight Saving Time ends on Sunday, November 5th.
SCHOOL CLOSED – TEACHER IN-SERVICE Tuesday, November 7th
Chesterbrook Academy will be closed on Tuesday, November 7th for Teacher In-Service. Our teachers will participate in a full day of training to support the implementation of Links to Learning in our classrooms. We will be open for normal business hours on Monday, November 6th and Wednesday, November 8th and can’t wait to share with you everything we learn!
WORLD KINDNESS DAY Monday, November 13th
Kindness makes the world go around, and CBA Ellis Preserve students are the kindest around! Our students will design and create kindness rocks in conjunction with The Kindness Rocks Project. We ask you to get involved by helping your child spread our Kindness Rocks around the community!
SILLY SOCK DAY Tuesday, November 21st
Mis-matched, neon green and hot pink, favorite characters, wear your favorite silly socks to school! In preschool, we love to be silly, so silly is what we’ll be! Wear your craziest, wackiest, most bonkers socks and show them off!! Which class will have the silliest socks?
SCHOOL CLOSED – THANKSGIVING Thursday, November 23rd
Chesterbrook Academy will be closed on Thursday, November 23rd in observance of Thanksgiving Day. We will re-open for normal business hours on Friday, November 24th. We wish you all a safe and happy holiday!
SCHOOL OPEN – BLACK FRIDAY Friday, November 24th
Did you know that Chesterbrook Academy is open every year on Black Friday? Whether you have to work a normal day or just need to get some holiday shopping done, our team will be here to engage your child in a day of learning and play.
