Hello Families!
October is upon us and the students are enjoying exploring their world. Trees are turning, leaves are falling, and cooler temperatures are here. This in return brings up many questions!
Parents and teachers can foster children’s natural curiosity in many ways. When a child expresses an interest or poses a question, what can you do? As a family, you can venture to the library. Or maybe it is a good excuse for a family trip. Walks through the park, around a pond, through the apple orchard or pumpkin patch are all ideas of things that can spark curiosity. Fall is a wonderful time of the year to delve into learning- at school and at home.
Talk about what you see/ hear/ smell. You aren’t going to have all the answers, but you can seek them out with your child. It will be fun for you too!
Happy exploring!
We have several special days planned for the month of October. On the 3rd, we will go for a walk and look at leaves; we will discuss the differences that we see in shape and color. On Friday, October 27th, our annual Costume Parade will begin at 10am. Classrooms will line up in the courtyard and begin the parade down the path on the far side of the school, then through the front lawn and around the parking lot. This is always a fun day full of excitement! I hope that you are able to join us!
