August marks our school-wide Kids Helping Kids project. We are collecting donations of school supplies for children who direly need them in Haiti. One of our teachers travels to Haiti with the supplies at the end of August to personally deliver the donations. Our students will see photographs of their teacher, Ms. Arlene, with the items given to the smiling young students in Haiti.
Chesterbrook Academy in Coconut Creek provides all the school supplies that our students need. Please take a moment to pick up some pencils, crayons, paper, etc. for our collection box in the lobby to help teach your child about compassion and generosity. The last day to collect donations is August 25th.
Other important dates:
VPK begins Monday, August 21st at 9am. Many of our students attend full time but you need to know that attending every day from 9am to 12pm is required to continue your VPK funding. You can find out more information regarding VPK attendance at http://www.elcbroward.org/
VPK Meet & Greet will occur one week prior to the beginning of the school year on Monday, August 14 from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm. We will answer all of your questions, collect paperwork and have uniform shirts for purchase. Our teachers will be on hand to introduce themselves to their students to make the first day a charm!
Enrollment for all of our programs (starting at 6 weeks old!) is continuous throughout the year. We offer a week’s vacation credit after attending 90 days. Our classes do fill up quickly so please do not hesitate to stop in at any time. All full-time students in the VPK program automatically get free attendance on non-VPK days except for Winter Break and Spring Break. The learning continues through-out the day all year ’round.
If you have any questions or would like more information about our acclaimed school, please contact the principal directly at jody.miller@nlcinc.com or call 954-574-9711.
We support all of our families to the best of our ability and look forward to serving your family’s needs.
Warmest Regards,
Jody Miller, M.S. Ed.
