Dear Chesterbrook Academy Families,

We would like to give a BIG “thank you” to all of our families for celebrating our wonderful teachers during Teacher Appreciation Week. Your gratitude and recognition for all that they do goes a long way.

Mother’s Day Tea – We will be hosting a Mother’s Day Sip (iced tea) and Paint on May 12th at 3pm with our students. We hope you can participate in this fun event.

Sign-In/Out – Our new system for signing your child in and out is now up and running. Please note each classroom will be phased into this process to make sure our transition from paper to electronic runs smoothly. All classroom parents will be notified the day before on when they should stop by the front desk to set up a pin.

Teacher of the Month – This month we have selected Ms. Mary as our Teacher of the Month. Ms. Mary has been very flexible with her schedule, covering for her colleagues during their time off for the last 2 months. THANK YOU Ms. Mary for being a team player!!

Graduation – Our PreK/PreK2 Graduation Ceremony will be held on Saturday, June 17th at 11am at our Chantilly/Kids Campus location. Please note that if your child is participating in graduation you will need to arrive no later than 10:30am.

Picture Day – Picture Day will be held on May 15th and 16th. The schedule for pictures are listed below.

• May 15th: Infants through Beginner A students
• May 16th: Beginner B through PreK2 students (Graduation pictures will be taken for our rising Kindergarten students)
• Sibling pictures will be taken on the scheduled day of your youngest child. Please note, your oldest child will still take individual pictures on their scheduled day
• For part-time students, parents please stop by the front desk or send an email to myself or Ms. Tiffany to schedule your picture day

• With our referral program you can earn a free week of tuition for every child you refer
• Please make sure your child has extra clothes and sunscreen for the season in their cubby. Water bottles/thermos are also needed for the upcoming summer days!

• May 1st-5th – Teacher Appreciation Week

• May 16th – Picture Day (Infants, Pre-Toddlers, Toddlers, Beginner A)
• May 17th – Picture Day (Beginner B, Intermediates, PreK, PreK2)
• May 19th – PreK and PreK2 students Water Safety class at the CHINN Center (students will need to bring a swim suit, towel and swim/water shoes)
• May 26th – Honoring US Service Men and Women. All service members are invited to join us at 3:00pm for a snack and story in their child’s classroom.
• May 29th – Memorial Day, CBA will be CLOSED
