April Newsletter
A Note from Our Principal
Spring is in the air, and we’re excited to experience the season’s changes with our students! Throughout the month, we’ll observe budding trees, explore shifting weather patterns, and celebrate Earth Day by learning how we can care for our planet. We’re also kicking off April with a special celebration to honor our amazing students and the wonderful community we’ve built together. We look forward to a season filled with growth, discovery, and fun!
Sincerely,
Marissa Schmidt
Week of the Young Child
Week of the Young Child, April 7 – 11, is an annual celebration sponsored by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC). It is a fun-filled week celebrating early learning, young children, their teachers, families, and communities. Our school will be participating with hands-on, collaborative activities encouraging movement and healthy lifestyles through music, food, and art. By celebrating, we are reaffirming and recommitting our responsibility to ensure every child gains early learning experiences that build a strong foundation for the future. Stay tuned for more information via Links 2 Home!
Earth Day
Earth Day is Tuesday, April 22nd! Throughout the month, our classes will explore the small ways they can make a big impact on our planet’s health. On Earth Day, Our school will be releasing ladybugs into our schoolyard! Ladybugs help local vegetation by eating harmful insects. We’re excited to celebrate this important day with hands-on learning and meaningful activities!
