A Note from Our Principal
As we prepare for the new school year, we wanted to extend a warm welcome to our new families and a sincere thank you to our returning families. We had such a wonderful summer and are looking forward to another successful year of learning, fun, and growth. Please make a note that we will be closed on Monday, September 2nd in observance of Labor Day. Fun Fridays was a huge success last year, so we’ve added some new themes! September 6th: Scrabble Day! September 27th: Hispanic Heritage Parade! Dress up in your classroom’s selected country.
Also, Fall Picture Days are right around the corner. Lifetouch will be on site for individual, siblings, and classroom pictures September 18th-20th.
September 18th: Room 1 (Infants), Room 2 (Toddlers), Room 3 (Beginners)
September 19th: Room 4 (Beginners), Room 5 (Intermediates), Room 6 (Intermediates), and siblings
September 20th: Room 7 (Pre-K), Room 8 (Pre-K)

Did You Know?
Children are naturally curious to learn about themselves and their peers and gain a sense of self when given the opportunity to share their likes and interests with others. Self-concept is the way children perceive themselves and their abilities. It’s an essential aspect of child development and plays a crucial role in their mental and emotional well-being. A positive self-concept helps preschoolers develop a healthy sense of self-esteem, which is vital for their future success and happiness.
National Hispanic Heritage Month
National Hispanic Heritage Month is celebrated from September 15 to October 15. Books are an easy and interactive way to expand your child’s awareness and appreciation of Hispanic culture. We’ve gathered three stories to read with your child: Coquí in the City by Nomar Perez, Round is a Tortilla: A Book of Shapes by Roseanne Greenfield Thong, and Camera Full of Wishes by Matt de la Peña. In our classrooms we will be celebrating by choosing countries that represent Hispanic heritage and learning about their customs, music, delicious foods, their dress and attire too!
