Dear Chesterbrook Families,
Summer Camp is winding down and it sure has been a fun one! We’ve enjoyed our in house field trips, Friday visits from the Kona Ice and Kool Cat Ice Cream, and our Water Play days! As a reminder, August 9th will be the last day of summer camp. Monday, August 12th we will be closed for our Professional Development Day. We wish all of our Pre-K students the best of luck as they move on to Kindergarten the week of the 12th!
On Monday, August 12th from 2-4 p.m. we are hosting an ice cream social. You are invited to drop in that afternoon to check out your child’s new classroom (if they are transitioning), pick up a welcome packet, and meet your child’s teacher!
Thank you all for participating in our Kids Helping Kids initiative this summer! We are grateful for the opportunity to watch our students serve others these past few weeks. We are proud to announce that together we raised $925 for Alex’s Lemonade Stand for pediatric cancer research. Thank you to each and every one of you who took the time to donate!
As we get ready to kick off a new school year, we want to make sure you’re kept in the know. In addition to this newsletter & the weekly newsletters that are sent home, the “For Parents” section of our website also includes links to our menu and monthly calendar. If you’re not currently receiving photos and daily reports for your child, you can easily change this by downloading the Links 2 Home app on your phone. After downloading, you can register with the same email address that you used to enroll your child in our school.
We hope that you all have an amazing rest of the summer and we are looking forward to kicking off the new school year on Tuesday, August 13th!
Sincerely,
Kristie Salmon
