From the Principal:
Happy New Year! Can you believe it? 2023 is here and promises to be a great year for all of us at Chesterbrook Academy. We have new staff to welcome and round out our classrooms, an exciting new update to our Links to Learning Curriculum; and most importantly, we have all of you!
We are looking forward to the start of our new Playground being constructed and installed. Our Infants, Toddlers and Beginners are going to have a totally new and renovated space to play. And guess what they will no longer have on their playground. They will no longer have woodchips! I know that will make all of you happy.
Have you noticed how bright our Parking Lot Lights have become? We have added all new LED lights to all of the pole lights and what a difference that has made. I feel like I am at a nighttime football game when I leave in the evening with how bright they are. We all love it and the fact that they are on automatic sensors so we do not have to worry about the lights being on when the time changes or it gets dark extra early due to a storm coming or when the sun is slow to rise in the morning.
Winter is upon us, and we all have to be prepared for possible weather alerts that could affect our opening or closing times. If there should be any need to adjust our opening or closing time due to inclement weather, you will be notified through a Tadpoles message as well as having it posted on ABC 6 News. The goal is to keep everyone safe and avoid hazardous travel circumstances.
Please make sure that your children have weather appropriate changes of clothes in their cubbies. It is definitely time for long sleeves and long pants! We also ask that you make sure that your child has extra underwear and socks in their cubbies for those times when accidents happen. Thank you!
