Happy October! We have a full month of activities awaiting us, and we are so excited to share them with all of you.
We are busy planning our October 22nd “Touch a Truck” Community Day and are very grateful for those of you who have volunteered to help in so many different ways. We appreciate the offer to help man an activity table, bring a truck, and even organize a fun contest for the children to enjoy. It should be a fun-filled morning of learning about the wonderful things trucks can do to make our lives easier and our world safer as well as providing our children with some Fall crafts and treats to enjoy. Ms. Shannon and her sons will host an Alex’s Lemonade Stand and send any and all donations to the organization for cancer research for children. This is just another way of showing the community how our “Kids Helping Kids ” program puts good acts into real action.
Our Picture Days are coming this month as well. The LifeTouch photographers will be here Monday, October 17th and Tuesday, October 18th. They usually come to set up early and are ready to start snapping pictures by 7:30 AM. They continue through the morning and usually wrap up their day by noon or shortly after. Please look for more details as to background color selection and which day your child’s class will be photographed.
