From the Principal:
Happy September! Welcome back to school! It is hard to believe that Summer Camp is over and that we are starting another school year. Summer Camp was great with all of the fun activities planned and the inclusion of special guests being invited back into our school. The children certainly enjoyed Yogi Dance, Briar Bush Nature Center and their collection of animals, the wonderful Mad Scientist and his his outrageous experiments that sparked so many interesting questions, and the very talented Ms. Lorri who sang and led us through the moves to enjoy our Dance Party. We also are very grateful to Ms. Mueller and her school age campers who planned and prepared so many fun projects for all of the classes to enjoy. The End of Camp Carnival was a big hit with so many wonderful games to play that the campers created and monitored for the younger campers to enjoy. And of course, we cannot forget to mention the fun times with Water Play! We also have to give a big shout out to the K- Enrichment campers and their teachers for doing such a great job staying on task learning and then participating in all of the fun. It was a great summer experience thanks to the many dedicated teachers who worked so very hard to make it a great and fun summer for all of our children to enjoy.
Lastly, I have to thank everyone who helped promote and contribute to our Kids Helping Kids campaign this summer to benefit St. Jude’s Hospital for Children. Our Trike-a- Thon was a huge success! Wow! What an unbelievable response from all of you! Thanks to you, we were able to forward over $1135 to the foundation to help seriously ill children and their families. Thank you so much for helping us show your your children what a difference people can make through love, caring, and hard work. You totally rocked it-and so did they with their energetic pedaling! The sun was shining, music was playing, and the children pedaled or scooted for quite a long time because they knew it mattered.
But it is now September, and our minds and attention are turned to making this a great school year. Our teachers with the guidance and support from our Education Department are ready to make the 2022-2023 School Year a fantastic and memorable one for your children. Our Links to Learning Curriculum is designed to maximize a child’s potential and capitalize on their skills to problem solve. Our teachers keep busy planning what they hope are fun and engaging activities for the children to enjoy and ultimately encourage more interest and stimulate more curiosity and questions. They also provide many opportunities for the children to explore their own talents and to value and appreciate those of others.
We are looking forward to having a wonderful school year and are excited to have all of you as partners in this journey. Thank you for your support, past and present, in all that we do to try to make your child’s experience with us such a positive one.
From Our Education Department:
