February brings on learning all about our heart health, love, and kindness! ❤️
After running around outside, put your hand on your chest and feel your heart beating fast! It is a muscle working hard to keep you going. Exercising and eating healthy food build strong muscles.💪🏽
In months past, we have collected donations to those in need. We explained to students that donating is caring about others, and ask them what it might feel like to be on the receiving end of such kindness and how does it feel to be kind to others.💟
This month, we are sharing our kind hearts with our friends, understanding differences, and accepting other perspectives. Encourage your child to think of ways they can show kindness to those around them every day.💘
February is also Black History Month! There are many ways we will be celebrating over the weeks. Look for photos in your Links2Home app for these special activities.
March is National Reading Month! We are starting early with a BOOK DRIVE from February 14 to the 25th. Drop off NEW, UNUSED children’s books during these weeks and they will be donated to the PAJAMA PROGRAM.
“Every child deserves to be read a bedtime story.”
