Dear Families,
Thank you all for helping our school celebrate Earth Day. Together, students at our school released over 10, 000 ladybugs. Celebrating Earth Day provided our teachers with many opportunities to relate science, math and literacy concepts to everyday life. As we move into May, we are getting our classrooms ready for a summer of additional enrichment.
This is going to be a fun and busy month. We will be celebrating our teachers/staff the week of May 3rd for teacher appreciation week. We will also be handing out muffins during drop off on May 7th for our annual Muffins for Moms in celebration of Mother’s Day. At the end of May we will be hosting our Pre-K graduations. Our teachers will be sending home additional information soon! Please be sure to check out the monthly calendar on our website for all of the important dates to remember this month.
As a reminder, you are more than welcome to send in sunscreen for your child; however, you must complete a form for the sunscreen use before bringing it in. Please ask a member of the administrative team if you need one. Also, closed toe shoes must be worn at all times. If your child wears crocs to school, they need to have the strap on their heel.
We are currently in the process of adding some final touches to our summer camp calendar. We have lots of fun things planned that we know your child will enjoy. If your child is two and up, you received a preschool camp form via email last month. This should be turned in by May 14th. Each student, two years old and up, who attends during the summer must complete the form and return it. We have extras at the front if you need a new one. We can’t wait to spend summer with you and your children!
Sincerely,
Ms. Chandrea Wilson
