Happy April Chesterbrook Academy Families! April is here and as the season changes to reflect warmer weather and new life budding, we are excited to see the changes blossoming within our classrooms with our budding learners. As spring blooms around us students will have the opportunity to explore sequence of events. Students will learn how a seed becomes a flower, how an egg hatches into bird, how a tadpole becomes a frog and how a bunny becomes a rabbit. We will also learn how “April showers bring May flowers,” as students experiment with watering plants to see the effects the water has on the seeds and flowers.
In April we also celebrate the “Week of the Young Child” April 12th-16th! It is a time to celebrate young children, early learning, teachers and families. Throughout the week teachers will engage students in fun learning activities, science explorations, arts and crafts and sensory experiences.
We have several activities planned for our Earth Week Celebration from April 19th-22nd! Our celebration will end on Thursday, April 22nd with our annual ladybug release! Please look for a Links2Home email with activities for each day.
Have a great month!
