Dear Parents,
Thank you for taking advantage of our early bird priority registration period by securing your child’s space for the 2021/2022 school year. We are currently accepting registration from the public, so if you have not secured your child’s space, please do not delay. Your current registration will expire on June 30th.
We are in the final stretch of our 2020/2021 school year, and it is evident that our children are reaching new heights in development. Many of our students are working on higher level skills to meet their growing needs. That’s the beauty of our Links to Learning curriculum; it grows with your child. That said, student transitions to the next level will take place on June 7th after our VPK/Pre-K graduation. You will be notified in advance to prepare your child for what lies ahead.
VPK Graduation will take place virtually on the last day of VPK 6/2. We will send out more information as this date approaches. Please plan to watch the live event during your child’s VPK class time.
Mark your calendar! On Monday, April 22nd our students will participate in a hands-on learning experience about the environment as they release 6,000 ladybugs to commemorate Earth Day. It is never too early to start teaching children the importance of keeping our planet clean and learning how to reduce, reuse, and recycle. With a little guidance and supervision, children can get creative helping our earth. After all, small steps can lead to big changes. Our annual Earth Day Ladybug release program is a pest management initiative. Ladybugs eat other harmful pests like aphids and mealy bugs providing an earth-friendly way to maintain the ecosystem without using harsh chemicals. On release day each child will have an opportunity to explore their senses as they hold ladybugs and watch them fly off to do their part in helping planet earth stay healthy and green. The excitement the children will have in releasing these little ladybugs is a sight to see. What a great nature experience. Leading up to this event, students will explore, create, and learn about the life cycle of a ladybug, create polka dot ladybug hats or wings, and use recyclable materials to create beautiful art sculptures. Stay tuned for more information.
