A Note From Our Principal,
Dear Families,
Happy Holidays! This is our favorite time of year, to see the joy and wonder in the children’s eyes. This is the time of year to witness the excitement of the holidays. It is also the time of year to give back to our communities for those less fortunate. During December we have many activities planned to celebrate the month and to give back to our community. We will be collecting pajama’s for The Connor Holland Foundation: Connor’s Comfy PJ’s. Children who receive inpatient hospital care for care are typically limited in their ability to play, often times spending most of their day in bed. The Connor Holland Foundation believes making a child comfortable during their stay is important to their overall well-being. So, they created the Conner’s Comfy PJs program to meet this need. We are excited to donate to this amazing organization. We will be collecting comfy PJ’s from December 7th – December 18th.
Our children will be very busy with many literacy activities and fine motor activities too. Make sure to check out our monthly activity calendar and join in the fun of our crazy days this month!
I’ve also enclosed several important winter and holiday reminders in this newsletter. Please read through it carefully and reach out if you have any questions or concerns.
We will be closing at 3 pm on Thursday, December 24th, closed Friday, December 25th and Friday, January 1st in observance of the holidays.
Thank you for allowing us to care, teach and love your children every month of the year! We look forward to spending 2021 with all of our wonderful families.
Happy Holidays,
Jessica Fishel, Principal
School Closure Reminders
As a reminder, we do not always follow the closure schedule of the local public schools. Our goal is to be open as many days as possible to support our working parents. If we must close for any reason, you will receive a notification via Links 2 Home as soon as the closure is announced. We also post notifications on our website.
Winter Clothing Reminder
If you’ve not already done so, please check with your child’s teacher via Links to Home to ensure they have an extra set of weather appropriate clothes. Students also need to come to school each day with a jacket and dressed warmly enough to play outside for part of the day. We want everyone to be able to participate!
Holiday Closures
Our school closes at 3 pm on December 24th and is closed on December 25th for Christmas Day and January 1st for New Year’s Day.

Students will participate in community service activities, STEAM learning opportunities, holiday themed projects and virtual activities. Students may attend all or part of Winter Break Camp, please let us know by December 14th if your child will be attending.
Classroom Holiday Celebrations—Wednesday, December 23rd
Through the month of December, our classes will be learning about different winter holidays and customs. On Wednesday, December 23rd, our students will showcase their learning and the holiday décor they’ve created with a classroom celebration. Students will be celebrating with story time, crafts and a special snack. We will miss having parents attend this year’s holiday celebrations and know that you all will enjoy the holiday crafts that your student brings home!
