Dear Families,
We hope that each of you had a wonderful and safe Thanksgiving with your loved ones. As the winter holidays approach us, we have many special activities planned and we cannot wait to spend the holiday season with our students. This month our students will be learning all about different winter holidays, customs, and traditions from around the world. They will have their classroom holiday parties on Tuesday, December 22nd. Please be on the lookout for more information from your child’s teacher.
Throughout the month we will be participating in a holiday giving project. This year we will be collecting coats to donate to Steve’s Coats for Kids. Please drop off your donations of new or gently used children and adult size coats during drop off or pickup from now until December 18th.
As a reminder, we do not always follow the closure schedule of the local public schools. Our goal is to be open as many days as possible to support our working parents. If we must close for any reason, you will receive a notification via Links 2 Home as soon as the closure is announced. We also post notifications on our website.
If you’ve not already done so, please make sure that your child has an extra set of weather appropriate clothes. Students also need to come to school each day with a jacket and dressed warmly enough to play outside for part of the day. We want everyone to be able to participate!
Please be sure to check out the monthly calendar for more information on important dates, our holiday spirit week, and dates that we will be closed. We appreciate your patience and understanding during these unprecedented times. We wish you a safe and happy holiday season!
Sincerely,
Ms. Chandrea Wilson, Principal
