A Note From Our Principal
We hope your children enjoyed their fall lessons, pumpkin themed activities, and classroom celebrations last month. Seeing our students enjoy their Halloween costumes is such a great joy each year. While were not able to do our traditional Trunk or Treat event, the teachers really made it a special day for each child and hosted many wonderful activities in their classrooms.
During the month of November Spring Ford School District will be opening and welcoming the school age students back to their public schools. Please keep an extra eye out in our parking lot for students getting on and off the van, the bus stop in front of our school, and our school bus.
Just a quick reminder that in addition to being closed on Tuesday November 3rd, Election Day, for teacher in service. We are also closed on Thursday November 26th to observe Thanksgiving. Friday November 27th – is a day that we have modified hours due to low childcare participation. Over the next few weeks, we will be asking you when your child will be attending during the week of Thanksgiving and the week between Christmas and New Year. We know many families travel during the holidays and we are trying to get a look and feel for ratio purposes so we can allow the staff to spend time with their families.
We are currently working on rescheduling our missed picture days from September. We will also be hosting our annual Charleston Wrap Fundraiser. Watch for further information to come your way soon.
Have a Happy Thanksgiving!
Sincerely,
Donna Baus, M.Ed.
Illness Policy Reminder
Our parents are vital partners in helping us to maintain a safe and healthy environment for the students in our school. The most important thing you can do to assist us in creating a healthy environment is to keep your child home if they are ill. This reduces the spread of illness and allows your child to fully recuperate. For more information please see our Parent Handbook or reach out to a member of our administrative team.
Thanksgiving Celebrations
Each of our classrooms will be celebrating Thanksgiving with a craft party and special treat on November 23rd. Students are making their own placemats and other Thanksgiving themed artwork to bring home to share with family members.
