Dear Families,
It’s hard to believe that November is here already! Our students have been doing a great job adjusting to their classrooms this fall and are working on learning many new skills. This month we are focusing on gratitude and connecting with others. Though we cannot hold our normal Thanksgiving family feast this year, we have many special activities planned for our students and are looking forward to sharing photos with you through the Links 2 Home app. Progress reports will be going home at the end of this month so be on the lookout for them as well.
As you may know, we are back to serving a.m. snack, lunch, and p.m. snack. Also, effective Monday, November 2nd our hours will be from 7:00 a.m. until 5:30 p.m. In order to ensure that your child is included in meal counts, please make sure that your child arrives between 7-9 a.m. We understand that things may come up, but we ask that you give us a call should you be dropping off after 9 a.m. As a reminder, we will be closed on Veteran’s day (November 11th) for Professional Development Day. We will also be closed on Thanksgiving Day and the day after.
A few important reminders:
- If your child or any immediate family member has a fever, cough, headache, loss of taste/smell, chills, sore throat, muscle pains, is being tested for COVID, or has been around any reported exposures to COVID, please consult us via telephone or email before bringing them to school.
- Our parents are vital partners in helping us to maintain a safe and healthy environment for the students in our school. The most important thing you can do to assist us in creating a healthy environment is to keep your child home if they are ill. This reduces the spread of illness and allows your child to fully recuperate. For more information please see our Parent Handbook or reach out to a member of our administrative team.
- If you bring your child to the doctor and they are diagnosed with something (ex. Flu, strep throat, etc.) please call us and let us know so that we can make other parents in your child’s class aware. Your name will be kept confidential.
- Wash your child’s rest items each weekend.
- Send weather appropriate clothes for your child’s cubby.
We are extremely grateful that you have trusted us to care for your little ones, especially during this time of uncertainty. Watching them learn and grow daily is so wonderful to witness. As always, if you have any questions or concerns please do not hesitate to reach out to a member of the administrative team!
Sincerely,
Ms. Chandrea Wilson
