Happy November and a full month of giving thanks for so many great things. Thank you all for joining us on Zoom for our Halloween parade last month! Seeing the children in their costumes is always memorable for our staff. Everyone loved carving, exploring, and decorating pumpkins too.
Crisp days are here to stay. Please be sure your child has seasonal and appropriate sized clothing. Jackets are important because we don’t want to miss any outside fun. Sunscreen and water bottles can be taken home as well.
This will be a busy month as we head into the holiday season and we are looking forward to spending it with you and your children.
Illness Policy Reminder:
Our parents are vital partners in helping us to maintain a safe and healthy environment for the students in our school. The most important thing you can do to assist us in creating a healthy environment is to keep your child home if they are ill or feeling under the weather. This reduces the spread of illness and allows your child to fully recuperate. For more information please see our Parent Handbook or reach out to a member of our administrative team.
School Closures For November:
Just a reminder that we are closed on Wednesday, November 11th for Teacher In-service Day. We are also closed on Thursday, November 26th so that our staff can spend Thanksgiving with their families. Attendance sheets will be emailed soon so you can let us know your child’s schedule for the week of Thanksgiving. Our teachers would like to take time off and we are unable to provide this to them until we have accurate child counts so we can maintain the classroom ratios.
Inclement Weather/Delays/Early Closures:
All changes in our operating schedule including closings, delays, and early closures will be communicated in several ways. You will receive an email through Links2Home/Tadpoles with any changes in our operating schedule. Information will also be posted on our website, on our voice mail, and on Channel 6 ABC. Look for Chesterbrook Academy-Arrandale.
We are grateful for you all! Have a safe and Happy Thanksgiving!
