Dear Parents:
October is here and we are very excited to continue our fall traditions, in a different way in order to ensure the health and safety of our children and families at Chesterbrook Academy-Cooper City, which is our very first priority.
As we all know, Governor Ron DeSantis made the announcement on Friday, September 25th, 2020 that the state of Florida is now in PHASE 3. After this announcement, we received the Ordinance that applies to us from DCF Childcare Licensing, which is that we are allowed to have more students per classroom. This ordinance allows all preschools to have their enrollment back to what it was prior to the start of the ordinance. Here at our location, we want to welcome back our loyal families that have been waiting patiently to return to our school. We are in the process of hiring more quality staff to ensure that ratios are met.
Until further notice ONLY staff and students are allowed in the building and please rest assure that we will continue with our health and safety protocols. Please refer to for more info:
https://www.chesterbrookacademy.com/preschools/south-florida/cooper-city/about-us/health-safety/
What is more exciting is that now we will be able to do student transitions that parents have been waiting for since June. If your child will be moving to a new class, you will receive a letter from your child’s teacher letting you know when your child will be joining their new classroom. We expect that November 2nd will be the date that Infants, Toddlers and Beginners can start in their new classroom. Classroom Handbooks will be sent digitally to you, so you are aware of their new classroom environment.
All enrolled parents should have received a note in Tadpoles from Mrs. Amber Saunders, Member of the PGA for you to be involved in a Whatsapp group in order to receive information on how to assist the school with events and other items needed. Mrs. Saunders created a Signup Genius website where it will be easy for parents to know what the school needs along with sign up options for parent participation. If you decide not to be part of the Whatsapp group, you can always reach out to your child’s teacher and ask how you can help.
Thank you for your continued support of our program during these unprecedented times. If there is anything that you need to know about our school, your child’s progress or any additional information you always can reach out to me or to my administration staff, Ms. Yoy or Mrs. Ross. We encourage that all of our families get ready for the month of October, as well as the months to follow for all the fun and enriching events that are planned to bring not only growth, continued development and normalcy for our students, but smiles and happiness that they can truly feel!!!
