Fall is in full swing and our students are enjoying the extra outdoor time, nature walks and seasonal curriculum activities. We are planning a few fun fall themed activities for our students this month and are excited to share photos with you all through Links 2 Home.
Please check the calendar for important dates this month! We have planned a fun hat day and a student favorite-pajama day! For health and safety reasons due to Covid-19, we will be unable to hold our annual Halloween parade. Stay tuned for more information about another fun event on Friday, October 30th! Students and teachers will participate in pumpkin carving and decorating towards the end of the month. Please send in a small or medium sized pumpkin for your child to decorate by Monday, October 26th. Pumpkins will be sent home on Friday, October 30th.
Please make sure your child has weather appropriate clothing in their cubby. This includes socks please! For older children that wear underwear, please send in a spare pair or two of underwear. Also, please label everything with your child’s name, especially jackets and sweatshirts.
Holiday and Inclement Weather Closures
Our school does not follow the local school district schedule as we are open more days each year. Delays and closures for inclement weather are posted on 6ABC.com, our school website, and a message will be sent to families via Links2Home. For the 2020-2021 school year the days we are closed are:
- Labor Day
- Thanksgiving Day
- Christmas
- New Year’s Day
- Memorial Day
- Independence Day
We have staff Development days twice a year in November and February. We will be posting information in the school as these dates get closer.
Enjoy the beautiful things that happen in Autumn and have a great month!
