A Note From Our Principal,
Summer has come to an end and another school year is upon us. We’d like to extend a warm welcome to our new families, and a sincere thank you to returning families and to those that chose to spend their summer with us. We enjoyed making summer camp memories with your children and are looking forward to spending the fall season together. We have a lot of fun learning experiences planned, and our COVID health and safety protocols have been met with enthusiastic approval by our DCFS licensing rep and our DuPage Health Department nurse. As a reminder, it is important, now more than ever, to keep a close eye on your child’s health, and to keep him/her home if you see any sign of illness. Plus, communication is the key! I promise to communicate with you if we have any illnesses to report, and please let us know ASAP if your child is ill. Together, we can “weather this storm” and keep all our little ones healthy, happy, and able to play with their preschool friends. Please review the reminders below carefully so we can make the most of our time together over the next few months. As always, our administrative team is here to answer any questions you may have. Have a great month!
Sincerely,
Lisa Fawver, Principal

Fall Cubby Refresh
It’s finally starting to get cooler and we are planning extra outdoor time to take full advantage of the fall season. Please make sure your child has at least one weather appropriate change of clothes in their cubby, and outerwear when applicable. Please make sure we have plenty of extra clothing, because preschool can be a messy place! Don’t forget to LABEL everything! Remember, we are providing individual school supply bags for each preschooler, which will be kept in each cubby. Nap time blankets need to be small enough to be easily stored, and remember, no stuffed animals or pillows, please.
Security/Car line Reminders
Remember to follow our drop-off and pick-up line procedure. Our parking lot is ONE WAY. Please follow the traffic flow around to the right of the lot and please do NOT cut in front of other cars, pull into a spot and walk your child up to the front, or cut through the middle of the lot. In order to be fair to all parents trying to get to work or to get home, please wait in line, in your car, and a staff member will let you know when to either pull up further or to get your child in/out of the car. Please be patient with us, and please PUT A SIGN WITH YOUR CHILD’S NAME ON IT IN THE WINDOW. It’s hard to recognize parents from inside their car, with masks on, sunglasses, hats, etc. Please remember that, for now, parents are not allowed in the building.
School Picture Day
Just as a head’s-up, Lifetouch Portrait Days are Wednesday, October 7th and Thursday, October 8th. We will send out more info about your child’s specific date and our new COVID procedures as those dates approach. We will be using the elementary school gym for the studio set-up. All photos will be taken before lunch and nap-time to ensure optimal cuteness.
